In the fashion scene, natural and sustainable fashion triumphs
Fashion is becoming increasingly attentive to the planet, which seems to be among the largest polluting industries in the world.
At the latest edition of Pitti Uomo in Florence, over 1200 brands presented their men's fashion collections for next spring - summer. Among these, many have opted for natural and sustainable garments.
Thirteen sections of this edition, differentiated between clothing, accessories, craftsmanship, industry and beauty products. A vast and varied panorama within which the only, true, great protagonist remains fashion. Fashion that becomes increasingly natural and sustainable during this 96th edition. A topic that is increasingly delicate and under the spotlight today.
In particular, it was Schmid who included 15 natural fabrics in his spring - summer 2020 collection. The raw materials examined are cork, canvas, raffia and denim.
Not just Schmid. Marinella in fact presented her collection of ties made from citrus fibre, the highly sustainable sneakers of Yatay, the totally sustainable down jackets of Save the Duck and so on, crossing a world that loves itself, looks forward and renews itself.
This year at Pitti Uomo, without a doubt, green fashion triumphed, in a world that increasingly looks carefully at safeguarding the planet but which still has a long way to go ahead of it.
Like Pitti Uomo, all the biggest fashion-related events today try to highlight the green and sustainable aspect, paying attention not only to the planet but also to the man who wears it.
