Obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile: da raggiungere entro il 2030

Sustainable Development Goals: to be achieved by 2030

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are everyone's commitment. Objectives drawn up to promote environmental, economic and social sustainability in the world. Countries, without exception, have promised their utmost commitment to achieving them and each of these 17 points is fundamental to making our world a better place.

By 2030, new sustainable development goals have been set as the ultimate goal to be achieved with everyone's commitment and desire.

If the previous ones ran out in 2015, today new challenges have been launched by the UN.

Some have actually been achieved, others overlooked and still others completely forgotten. This is why the commitment, to date, doubles and intensifies. From everybody.

There are 17 new objectives for sustainable development.

Let's see together which ones:

  • Defeat poverty forever: millions of people still suffer from this very serious problem. And while the world moves forward they remain still, in a condition of extreme poverty.
  • Overcoming world hunger: this second point is linked to the previous one. We produce enough food to feed all the inhabitants of our planet and yet many are still not entitled to it.
  • Guarantee the right to health for all: the right to health is certainly one of the absolute objectives to be achieved. For everyone. Therefore, reduce the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate. These are two plagues that still constitute a serious threat today, especially for the poorest countries in the world.
  • Guarantee the right to education: not everyone can afford to LEARN, yet this is the only solution to progress and move forward. The only way to hope for a better future. Free from poverty and oppression.
  • Achieving gender equality and guaranteeing a better condition for women: in many countries around the world, even today, women cannot live their condition without being exploited, raped, deprived of all rights.
  • Guarantee a source of drinking water and the necessary hygienic conditions: even today, several populations in the world do not have access to a safe source of drinking water. This is the cause of numerous diseases.
  • Producing clean, cheap and sustainable energy: what this objective aims to do is to produce not only environmentally sustainable energy but energy that is available to everyone.
  • Promote economic growth and ensure that this is lasting: it is good and right that economic growth concerns above all the poorest countries in the world. We need to make sure it lasts.
  • Promoting industrialization, infrastructure and long-term innovation: three cornerstones to guarantee and support good economic development and the well-being of all.
  • Reducing inequalities between countries: one of the objectives that would be good and right to achieve by 2030 is a more equitable distribution of resources and wealth. In this world today there are those who have too much and those who, on the contrary, have too little.
  • Making cities and communities safer, more sustainable and more inclusive: the city is the place where everyone should feel at home, live well and be able to do so in the best possible way. The sustainable improvement of our living spaces is an essential objective to be achieved by 2030.
  • Making room for responsible production and consumption models: reducing all waste and respecting the environment must be two cornerstones to always keep in mind.
  • Take immediate action to combat climate change and its impact on the environment: a reality to be fought as soon as possible and on which we can all intervene personally. Everyone in their own little way. It is therefore necessary to intervene with sustainable global policies and strategies in order to stem environmental risks and actual disasters affecting nature.
  • Taking care of marine life: today we hear about the sea most often as one of the most polluted environments. A delicate ecosystem that has recently been exploited indiscriminately. It's time to take a step back.
  • Protect life on earth and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems: all of this means protecting forests, fighting desertification, stopping land degradation and the loss of biodiversity. Preserving our planet is a common and shared commitment.
  • Ensuring peace and justice: without these two principles, equality at a global level will not be achieved. Peaceful and inclusive societies are necessary for sustainable development.
  • Support international collaboration: it is essential to collaborate to achieve different objectives. These 17 goals represent a commitment for all countries starting immediately. Nobody excluded.
